After the Second Prince of the Ninth Heaven broke the Holy Spirit Lamp, he was then deprived of his Mana, his appearance, and was demoted to descending to the world to experience calamity.

The Second Prince, who had now no talent and no appearance, became the younger martial brother in Miaoxian Mansion, and started the path of cultivating immortals with fear.

At first, everyone bullied him, and only the cold and taciturn senior brother treated him well.

Later, he learned that the senior martial brother, the same as him, had a deep fate with immortals. Unless his soul left his body, he would become his Taoist Companion.

His heart was happy. Until that day he witnessed the senior martial brother commit great treason and as he held the Master in his arms.

With a piteous cry, “Miaomiao…….”

The cold face showed a gentle look as well.

That was the Master’s nickname.

The Second Prince no longer expected the senior martial brother to see him, but he did not expect the senior martial brother to be desperate and begged him, “Xiao Qi, save the Master, only your life can be exchanged for his life.”

After coming back, the Second Prince didn’t even evade the sword and died under it.

In a trance, he saw the senior martial brother’s disbelieving expression.

With his body dead, he returned to heaven.

The father of the Ninth Heaven raised this scarred man. The Second Prince asked for a heartless bead. After years of suffering, it was better to be a merciless and loveless immortal.

It was just that, it didn’t occur to him that his senior martial brother became the only devil in the Three Realms.

He didn’t know until he died–

—that the senior martial brother was covered with blood and tears. He knelt on his knees and could not stand up from the sycamore tree and fought madly with his fragmented soul.

I must say, I really adore this novel. Every day, I eagerly anticipate the release of the next chapter. It's far from being the most intricately crafted in terms of world-building or plot complexity, but it has a special place in my heart. The amnesia element, which I typically厌恶, feels surprisingly well-integrated here. What captivates me is the character growth that unfolds throughout the story – it's a delightful, lighthearted tale with a hint of emotional depth. I'm going to be quite nostalgic once it comes to an end.

The summary doesn't truly capture the essence of the story. It's actually a light-hearted comedy, sprinkled with a touch of sweetness and sadness. The main character, the senior martial brother, is an eccentric genius who resolves issues by eliminating those he perceives as threats (and sometimes innocent bystanders, all while claiming their belongings). The demoted heavenly prince, our protagonist, is well-aware of this peculiar side of the ML. He acts rationally, choosing to overlook half of the ML's statements, dismissing half of his actions, and nonchalantly defusing trivial confrontations, treating him like an impulsive, yet amusing child. These contrasting dynamics create a comedic goldmine between them.

If you haven't already, please read this part, as the summary somewhat misrepresents the story by exaggerating the drama – it's actually a genuine romantic comedy. The protagonist, Feng Xuan, is sent to Earth to experience his love trials and return to heaven, where he can resume his carefree life of eating and sleeping. With knowledge from a secret fate book, he tries to bond with Qi Zhuoyu, eventually leading to their heartwarming journey.

The story lacks any bullying or betrayal; the scene of QZY hugging his master from the summary doesn't occur. Feng Xuan is aware from the start that QZY will become the demon king, but it's not about chasing a wife or revenge. QZY's feelings are exclusive to Feng Xuan, and Feng Xuan doesn't even request the heartless bead; his father planted it while Feng was unconscious.

Feng Xuan and Qi Zhuoyu share excellent chemistry. Feng is charming, lazy, and vain, with an amusing train of thought that brings laughter. QZY is a classic "tall, dark, and handsome" character, but he behaves like a child sometimes, wanting to be the strongest in every situation. Their interactions are filled with humor and sweetness, with touching moments when QZY tries desperately to win Feng's affection.

The plot serves mainly as a backdrop for their blossoming relationship, and Feng Xuan doesn't need to mimic the character Xiao Qi from the fate book. The story has some issues, such as the instant connection between the two, who are practically fated to be together. QZY's immense power renders everything effortless, making him seem overbearing and occasionally ruthless, but these elements are played for laughs, with minor characters meeting unfortunate ends. Feng Xuan, though likable, is practically useless outside of plot developments.

In conclusion, while the story has its flaws, it offers a delightful read with a cute couple. It's a simple tale of a picky, vain, yet sweet beauty and her intimidating, yet devoted senior. There's also a charming subplot involving Feng Xuan's parents, with his male mother, another character with an eccentric personality. Overall, if you enjoy a light-hearted romance, this could be an enjoyable read.

Although it appears serious, the novel is actually a heartwarming romantic comedy. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Since there are still more chapters to come, I'd like to provide a more comprehensive review once the translation is complete, fingers crossed.

In general, the story is commendable, but the main character (MC) falls short. They experience growth in the middle, but any progress they make is quickly nullified within just 5 to 10 chapters. It's evident that despite their power and status, they remain ineffective. There's no significant change in their character development; they remain as useless as ever. Reading about a character who never evolves can be incredibly dull. Towards the end, there might be some superficial developments, but the plot trajectory remains largely the same as the initial half.
