After Being Abandoned, I Married the Emperor in a Flash

The beginning was strong, but the final chapters seemed to lose momentum. Given that it's an interstellar story, including Earth chapters felt unnecessary. Moreover, the spoiler suggests that mentioning Earth's unawareness of other planets or civilizations is redundant since the emperor and ex (both powerful figures) come from there. It would have been better to exclude those parts.

Despite the minor setback, the book was overall quite charming and a pleasant read. I particularly enjoyed the dynamic between the older brother and his partner; I would have loved to see them have a standalone story arc.

One priceless scene that had me laughing uncontrollably was when the top-tier strength general and AI debated who should stop the emperor. The AI pointed out that the general could get a new body, while the AI guaranteed survivor benefits for the general's family, ensuring they'd be well taken care of.

In summary, while there were a few flaws, the book was enjoyable and provided some delightful moments.

The initial chapters were exceptional, and I thoroughly enjoyed the intense emotional conflict. However, the pace has significantly slowed down, and I find myself eager to reach the climax. Currently, I'm in the midst of the story, but the plot progression feels stagnant. It seems that the anticipated events and the sweet angst that captivated me earlier have dwindled.

If you prefer a slow-burning romance with predictable moments, such as when a group creates a scene around the main character, and the love interest swoops in with a single, dramatic action, then this novel might be right up your alley. Despite the slowdown, it caters to those who enjoy clichéd romantic tropes.

If you're looking for an overly-sweet, feel-good read with plenty of romantic moments, this book might be your cup of tea. It's almost cloying, like it's giving me a sugar headache 😢 But the main characters' love story is undeniably heartwarming. The only downside is the censorship; there were times when I wished for more vivid descriptions in the intimate scenes 😅😂

The narrative started with a clichéd premise and, unfortunately, devolved into a predictable drama/drama-with-dog-elements towards the second half. Initially, I had hoped for more engaging palace intrigue, but that aspect fell short, making the later parts feel rather平淡.

The main character (ML) is portrayed as tall, handsome, and possessing an array of positive traits such as purity, gentleness, and innocence. However, the protagonist (MC) also displays an overwhelming power, resembling a classic Mary or Gary Sue trope, which brought a chuckle. Despite these clichés, I found the story relaxing and it served my current reading mood quite well.

One amusing dynamic stood out – the interaction between JMS (apparently MC's brother's partner) and Murphy, two seemingly stoic individuals who unexpectedly engage in witty banter, provided a delightful touch of humor.

On a side note, I personally would have appreciated a deeper exploration of the relationship between MC's brother and JMS, or Minister Jiang, potentially with a hint of Alpha-Beta dynamics, something that would definitely pique my interest. Fingers crossed for that in future translations!

I haven't delved into the additional content yet due to difficulty finding a suitable translation platform. However, I've heard that the extras offer a glimpse into Murphy's love story. I'm hoping that these supplementary chapters will be translated eventually.

In conclusion, while the story had its flaws, it was enjoyable overall, and I might consider revisiting it at some point.

I  really enjoyed reading this book. it really pulled at my heart strings. I give it 2 thumbs up. I just wished it was longer.
