Xyrin Empire

I have read this novel and liked it so much that I even started reading the MTL of it. Surprised that Qidian decided to pick it up. As you can guess by the synopsis, this is mostly a comedy novel, though it has a bit of seriousness in it sometimes(rarely).

Anyway the protagonist, a high school student suddenly becomes the emperor of a immensely advanced empire, and has to deal with all the troubles that come with it, while still on Earth. Earth also has some secrets.

The opening is a bit weird, but quickly we discover that our MC has a look android and is one 135 emperors. The plot moves steadily, but at times as a reader we feel like sighing.

Been looking forward to Yuan Tong's first novel. Hope this sees the light of day and not just stay as a trial read. It's a lot more laid back and fast paced compared to Unusual Creatures and Dawnbreaker but the sci-fi/mystical aspects are already showing through.

And this is the only Yuan Tong novel with a harem. Not sure if that's good or bad cuz lots of people just hate harems for the sake of hating harems and wouldn't even touch works that have them cuz they think that makes them look smart and hip lol.

I really enjoy this author's work, and while not perfect this was also pretty good.

Realising that this novel wasn't chosen and is no longer on the trial list and has likely been abandoned just like sword of the dawnbreaker was, I'm feeling pretty let down. That's what I hate about this site. If they don't think it'll make people spend coins per chapter and make them money, translators will just drop it, yet it's still licensed so no-one can do a fan-translation for free. Even people who are willing to PAY to read it are left helpless. All you can do is read machine translation or learn freaking mandarin. They're basically denying all english speakers the novel on the off-chance they can make money off of it someday (but probably never). I wish they'd at least be clearer with readers that they need to vote and spend coins if they want to translation to keep going, that even if it's chosen, if people just read it with fast-passes and don't spend coins on it, then it'll be dropped anyway just like SotD was. What are we even supposed to do when you just drop stuff without a word and don't communicate with your damned customer base before or after? The frustration is maddening. .
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

The synopsis make this seem like a very intresting concept, so i gave it a read and i could not read chapter 3. I forcefully finished chapter 2. I believe it's the writing style or maybe the huge info dump. Chapter 1 was very intriguing and made me want to find out more but chapter 2 killed the intrigue i held for this book. Cant say more since i could not read more.🤷
