Very interesting and unique new story from Hide. Knowing his quality of work this one will be really good too. Looking forward to a new fave work by Hideousgrain.
Ignoring grammar errors It was great the first few chapters but once the author decided to add more fantasy elements it quickly fell apart. The fantasy elements are the divine mythic Fantasy stuff and divine powers. Maybe some people are fine with it but I genuinely thought it was an ordinary guy who time traveled back in to Ancient Rome with nothing more than modern knowledge to help him, but fortunately it turned out the MC has brainwashing powers and starts introducing radically wild ideas like normal like: oh yes there’s this virus things responsible for sickness so put alcohol to disinfect.... so onCan’t he just say : “ here’s a bottle of holy water rub it on wounds to receive the gods blessings to heal your wounds or something”Can the MC be more subtle when introducing new stuff. There’s also the music stuff as I’m quite dubious about ancient Roman’s musical taste with modern music. There are other dubious parts and larger elephants in the room which I won’t state as I’m people can read the comments section.

Reviewing for event early in reading. Despite the romance tag at least at the beginning seems more mystery, intrigue and tragedy to me. Other review said missing summary could be planned by author so will spoil with summary for first few chapts at bottom for potential readers who prefer to have an idea past the title. Story seems well written so far, thrown in the deep end with people and situations but slightly unclear entering a flashback. I am curious about why things happened and plan to come back and read once more has been published. I believe with the level of curiosity and confusion I currently have it would read better in sustained sittings rather than chapter by chapter. SUMMARY OF THE LITTLE I HAVE READ:MC has friend/lover who just committed (?) genocide of the dragon clan/race which both have ancestors from there. MC is unable to kill f/l who does seem to love her and gives up her dragonhood to seal f/l. She then plans to figure out why he did this, if he did this and probably how to interact with him post sealing since she already forgave him since he said "I'm sorry" [not really sure how you can just forgive someone causing this amount of damage, death and trauma but suspension of disbelief for fiction *shrugs*]Reminder VERY early in reading and may not fully understand new setting and intrigue. Yay writing reviews for events!??
Excellent novel ! The grammatical errors are minimal and its been a while for me to see a novel with god protagonist or something plusThe concept is impressive the Mc really push his limits of imagination not some other MCs that think inside the boxIts a new novel, hope author doesn't drop this
