I was looking for the original novel in Chinese and it turns out that the author died of cancer, there are only 720 chapters and I read up to 711 in MTL, a shame since the good stuff was just beginning in the immortal world.

I don't get why novels like these are so high ranked if they are actually bad. How does the ranking system even work? Isn't it supposed to be based on reviews?

It is assumed that the story will be continued in the Manwha.

Like the book but always find it a pity that stories on these apps end with rape & abuse victims forgiving and forgetting (basically: with a simple sorry and a few tears) what abusers did to them. She has lifelong trauma and probably Stockholm Syndrome but no actual justice for this poor girl.
