Only read 19 chapters, but I already had to stop. The translation is difficult to read and there are way too many clichés jam packed in just these few chapters. Young Masters haven't even started to appear yet, but a couple of arrogant characters have that already made the Mc their nemesis. I really can't go down this rabbit hole again. I'm tired of reading about completely unreasonable characters. It's a shame that not every Cultivation Novel could be like "A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality". Heck, I would even settle for more like "Nine Star Hegemon Body Art". Although that's also filled with every Cultivation Novel cliché under the sun, at least it's well written and easy to follow. I should probably just stop reading novels like these. Anything with Emperor, God or Immortal in the title, it's a risky click and you might waste your time.
Read 1300 chapters before dropping.A fairly solid read. Without spoiling anything, These will be what you need to know:
* Main charcter stays cold, calculated and wary of strangers through and through.
*Other than some girls crushing on MC, almost no romance.
* Action is present towards the end of the arcs lightly but action is not the key of any arc. The story and plot twists are what make this novel a gem, if it is one at all.
* The author does not have the habit of building the worlds in detail. He puts them into dialogues and you will miss a lot of the story of you don't attention and skim over.
* There are fairly good plot twists in every arc, but almost all the villains are one dimensional dumbasses who go into c*cky monologues thinking they are the sh*t before dying.
* Don't expect jumping from game world to reality and vice versa like other novels. Reality is inconsequential.
I dropped because it's like watching Fairy tail. Same story formula applied over every arc.
This is my first time I stumble on this website, and I happen to read a one of a kind story. I admit I am a fan of other popular reading apps. And the stories there are not that long. So at first I was not excited to read the story due to the number of chapters in it. But as the story progresses, I had a feeling not to stop reading in the middle of it. I was overwhelmed with the characters and of course the plot of the story. I highly recommend this story for anyone who is a fan of a FL that is naive looking but has a strong personality. Good job author!
