I am 29, almost 30, and throughout my journey, my sister and photography have been my constant companions. From the moment I discovered my first darkroom during my sophomore year, I knew deep down that this was my true passion. Holding a camera, setting up tripods, capturing moments, and filming became an integral part of my life. Since I was just 10 years old, my life has been a tangled web. My parents' decisions left me feeling like a burden, but amidst the chaos, I found solace in a pen pal who unknowingly became a significant presence in my life. As for relationships, I haven't experienced anything substantial – it's not every day that someone like [him], the man who spilled coffee on me during our first encounter, reaches out. Based in Texas City, Houston, I am passionate about my photography, cherishing the freedom it provides. However, this creative outlet can sometimes come with unexpected challenges. When I shared a secret with this man, my emotions spiraled into a whirlwind, especially considering I had just applied for a life-changing opportunity – a one-year fellowship in Barcelona, a city steeped in culture and exploration, mere weeks before meeting him.
