Pivoting on the ball of one foot, Artorius brought his sword around, cleaving through his next target from right shoulder to left hip. He fell back as his body separated, spilling blood across the worn stones. He continued his pivot, his left hand rising and finding the wrist of the dagger-wielder and guiding the stab into the stomach of a man behind him. Then he twisted, planting his foot to halt his initial spin before launching into a hard knee-strike into the knife-man's stomach. Then he stepped forward, drawing in a breath before twitching his left hand upwards. He heard the wet sounds of flesh coming apart, but there was no hiss of steel through flesh.
She slowly walked towards him leaving nothing on the floor but cracks and a trail of blood. Her brown hair swayed from left to right as she took her time to tread the space between them like a baby making her first few steps.
Hi! 👋😊 ThePurpleWizard here! So about this novel, Archon OdysseyArchon- god-like beings who rule over their respective realms (yeah, like Genshin Archons)Odyssey- as the name suggests, traveling. Traveling what exactly? well the world, and possibly beyond.(this Universe is made up of many worlds, but I'm not sure if I'll go in that direction for this novel)So basically, the main premise of the novel is about the MC and his companions (and pets) exploring different corners in the world, each with different cultures, biomes and history. Throughout the journey, they'll dig deeper into the lore, uncovering the secrets of the world. Yeah, that's it. Anyways, if you're interested please give it a chance. And don't hesitate to critique. I love critiques. Good and Bad, I accept it all.
Even as someone who often prefers non-fiction over fiction, I was immediately captivated by the world building and narrative that the author established from the very first chapter. I really enjoy the use of language to build out incredibly descriptive and interesting images as well as the more casual, realistic yet still great dialogue between character. My only complaint thus far is that I feel like some sections could have been developed a bit better, but I understand that this may be more due to the novel's shorter format as a web novel. Nonetheless, the story is not hindered by this aspect as it only leaves me wanting for more world and character development in later chapter.
A genuinely Good novel, so far so good, This last chapter got me really invested, The Characters feel connected yet distant, and i want more care in writing given To the Character.
