Paradise Lost

Kill me now, just bought all the books and come here to compare the first chapter to the official translation and see it’s f*ck*ng updated, bro why u do this to me!!!!!…. Sadly enough re reading the first few chaps so far I like this translation more than the official… has more character in it. Literally checked months ago if it had updated but it hadn’t for years bruh. Edit: Rly torn between getting a refund and re-reading it here, or reading the official ones… so d*mn difficult.

It's not cosmic horror if the perspective is among the ranks of the gods. The point of cosmic horror is that the characters are insignificant people held to the whims and actions of beings far greater in scale and scope than they can possibly comprehend.

Does the ant understand the gravity of the boot that steps on it? Does the man wearing the boot appreciate the life and struggles of the ant he just stepped on in his kitchen? Cosmic horror is about fighting against the powerlessness of your own being in the face of the universe and all of it's horrors. An ant can only hope it doesn't draw attention to itself, and if it does, it can only try to evade the eyes of beings much greater than it can understand. That's what cosmic horror is about, mere ants trying to survive in the face of a coming god.

This book is sooo different to what i've come to expect from this author, but it has me intrigued. I love that she always keeps me guessing and gives me a new experience. So far i'm enjoying this and look forward to more chapters

dec 2024 still not finished. it has been abandoned. I liked the first book. but the second mover finished.

ohhh i love love love it, I cried, I laughed,I worried,rejoiced,and now that its at the end I am sad,but happy!!! definately wish it was in print I would buy it just to read again and again for years FIVE THUMBS UP!!
