"Please go away, I don't want you as my partner. I despise you," I told the expressionless man standing before me, his calm facade hiding the anger I could detect in his gaze. He declared, "It's too late, dear. Our fates are sealed by the moon goddess, and let me assure you, there's no escape from me. But you've already made a grave error." With a menacing look in his eyes, he stepped closer to me, saying, "I'll outsmart you this time, unlike the vulnerable girl you once were." Hatred fueled my words as I replied. He smirked, clearly aware of the danger he posed, but I refused to back down. I was prepared to defend myself, no matter the cost.
