I can tell he took inspiration from SS but it has its own plot and has a unique taste to it it's also pretty well written with only a few grammar mistakes here and there. All in all  good story.

I would say this novel is very fresh and i enjoy to read it

From what I’ve read, book seems to have a lot of potential, steady pace and nice background settings. I hope it stays on the good path and I’ll glady read the many chapters to come!
