In her profession as a New York Post photographer, Kari Martin had witnessed countless heartaches and scandals. Yet, one fateful night at a club, her own life took an unexpected turn. Devastated and contemplating canceling her upcoming wedding, Kari decided it was time for a drastic change. She packed her bags and moved to a quaint town in Maine, where the residents were on average around sixty years old. Determined to assimilate, she worked diligently to hide her recent disillusionment with the concept of love. Jake Isaac had left Texas behind years ago, carrying a broken heart and resolved to remain single for good. The picturesque Maine offered him solace, a chance to reconnect with nature, and a supportive community that made him a local hero by taking up coaching at the junior high school and firefighting duties.
