"Let me clarify something for you, Linda," he said, giving her a moment to absorb his words. Her forehead glistened with beads of cold sweat, her confusion and fear evident. She wondered where such unease stemmed from. Her lips quivered, and her hands trembled like a delicate leaf in the wind. Her eyes widened, showing dilated pupils. "Linda, it seems you're hiding your true intentions. Are you really on board or not?" he demanded, his deep, authoritative voice tinged with a low growl. His grip on her slender neck remained firm, leaving her paralyzed with terror. Despite the fear gripping her, a strange longing for him lingered deep within her core, a mix of emotions she couldn't quite understand. Only by answering his question would she unravel the mystery.
