pretty solid novel, some people bash it for the fact that the "bad luck" part of the novel is all heaven's fault, and yes it is, but that's part of the novel. it isn't some random bs that he just blames it out of nowhere, it's part of the main characters "gravis" background. it's something his entire family has to deal with, not just him, so I see it as just another element of the story that adds something else to make it less boring. This story isn't repetitive either, it's not just "go to new place, make someone mad, get their family/master involved, then whole sect, destroy sect, go to new area, repeat" when the enemy is the world itself, instead of trouble popping up randomly, it's instead finding allies and friends that is random since the mc has to assume the world is against him.overall, this novel has some pretty good development and story elements to it and takes a very different approach to cultivation compared to other novels, and is worth the time to read it.

Pros:+ Characters are unique and interesting and the dialogue is witty as hell+ Pacing is pretty well done, author doesn’t drag things on too much+ Story is very original and the author does his best to steer away from clichesCons:- Grammar and spelling are a bit off sometimes but not so bad to be unreadable, easily fixable with an editor- Slow release schedule, I NEED MORE- Chapters feel a bit short but maybe I’m a quick a reader? - Not many POVs explored to expand on world buildingConclusion:It’s a very nice read, can be mildly frustrating with some of the author’s grammar mistakes, especially if you’re a native english reader like me, but the author does correct his mistakes if you comment so it’s a good sign that he listens to feedback. As someone who has read A LOT of web novels, this ranks very high in my list of enjoyable reads since it is original and takes a unique take on the typical cultivation story. I hope this helps and have a wonderful day fellow reader! :)Sincerely,RobespierreK

The Good: A good xianxia without any useless fluff for the most part. Author puts in plenty of effort to keep the quality high and it shows! The Bad: The cultivation levels are very hard to follow, I personally don't like it when I have to take a mental note of the levels because they are not intuitive. A slow pace is good, but going too slow makes it a chore to keep up with. I personally don't feel anything unique from the MC or the world, I feel like a plain character was placed in a generic xianxia world instead of building the world around the character. Sorry if that doesn't make much sense. The Neutral: While this novel doesn't try anything new, I feel like the author is aware of that and plays to its strengths making it a very solid novel amongst a sea of cultivation novels. (Although the cultivation novel sea is many times smaller than the romance novel sea)
