Not that good. One of the worst ways I’v seen an author handle system/skills. MC is still a coward, timid, boy 130 chapters in. Things that should be considered skills in real life the author doesn’t consider them skills. MC still lives his life as if he doesn’t have a skill system. Has no proactivity in tryin to get more. All his skills have come unintentionally and every time he freezes in shock like he forgot he even had the system. On top of all that it’ a slow paced novel which makes the issues even more glaring. This was better off not being a system novel if this was the route he was gonna take with the MC.
Such a great novel. It has the typical elements that all I Eat Tamatoes novels has (by far mostly good ones) so if you've liked the other novels by him you'll like this one. This one does have a unique element however as it's scy-fi cultivation which is much more refreshing and unique. Overall this is curently my favorite of his novels (tied with coiling dragon as that was the first novel I ever read).
I don't know about other people but I had a bit of a hard time following at the beginning but I attribute that more to myself then your writing. Your description was vivid but dialog made me question weather an actual gamer would talk the way you wrote. Your style made it seem like they treated the game like the real world to much. Overall it was a decent read
Putting aside that the 'Dragon Vein Emperor Art' is used on meridians and not the 'rubbish' dragon veins, this is still a novel that I like.I was already going to be disappointed when the first chapter referenced a cliche 'forced marriage' which I assumed would end up with a brain dead fiancee who dumps the MC but I was wrong. Xiao Yuran is sassy and actually kinda cute in how she is determined to marry Su Han. Definitely a different vibe than I, and really the MC, was expecting.But don't worry, there is still cliche setups, like the backstabbing, brain-dead family members. I don't get this over-used plot element. However, in response the MC is certainly not shy in quickly dealing with any antagonist issue. Furthermore, I like how he didn't d*ck around and just quickly chose his aforementioned art (instead of pretending to go through his massive memory library) and quickly got to leveling up. This kind of decisiveness shows itself over and over and it's something I appreciate.Of course his awkward helplessness in dealing with his precocious fiancee is a nice counterpoint.The score on this book so far is dismal, so it's clear that there are more popular genres that people want, but I don't really care and I'll put my vote for this book to be chosen.
