    The MC says that they couldnt know how far the holy sword is with the compass, only knowing the direction.

    But isnt that information easily able to be triangulated with a bit of walking perpendicular to the direction of the sword and measuring the degree of change? Then with a simple teleportation spell, you should be able to reach the proper coordinates pretty damn fast.
