They said they were going to rush this series! Hopefully that means that there will be a lot of quick updates.

Yeah so many webtoons have such strong starts then they scale up so much that it loses track of what it was originally about. Could be the naver/webtoon (not exclusive to manhwa) pushing authors to make things more "hype" or could just be the author trying to squeeze every drop of milk from the series before he falls off

The ending feels so wildly unsatisfying, unearned, and forced.

It's a surprise twist and hard to stomach for sure... but I think this is for the better.  Instead of just two opposing forces with our hero stuck in between, now comes another like our hero but chose to work with a different side who is inevitably going to introduce more angles into the plot because of varying goals.  Now there are 4 different clashing goals to make the story more interesting.
