It is what you expect it to be, though a bit nonsensical. The granddaughter doesn't just grow up after a few chapters, she is going to keep being a child.
I can't say there is a whole lot of education the grandpa is giving her, so it isn't that kind of story. He is a caring Grandpa, but how wholesome can be the life of an OP child that has to fight and kill to save herself ? Or even is forced to decide if she starts a battle to the death to save a third party. Children aren't supposed to need to make these kinds of choices.
The granddaughter doesn't really have a character, in that even after 50 chapters I don't feel like I "know her". I can predict her actions, because she is a very typical "tomboy who loves meat" ( Don't look at me,I didn't pick her personality), but I don't feel like she is "a person".
It is fine, passes the time.
