I feel like the ending is meant to be as realistic as possible. It's not always the happy ending we expect out of fiction, but the happy ending we see in real life. We as humans may not end up with a happy family in the future. We may forget what our parents looked like as we grow older, and we may not hold onto the trauma. We grow and live each and every day not holding on and letting go until we don't remember those who hurt us. Sometimes life is what it is, and that's all it needs to be.

Is it possible that Denji threw up Power and Aki? I mean he did consume power, but for Aki - didn’t he just straight up killed him? Is killing him counts as consuming?

We did know from the recent chapters that Chainsawman could erase devils by consuming them, and regurgitate them back to existence.

DGray Man used to be my favourite follow. Then it got into the first hiatus and when it got back, it no longer clicked for me anymore. The story has becoming increasingly confusing (the long ass pauses between chapters doesn't help, either); characters becoming gayer, cringier.
Sometimes I'm glad we have works like One Piece, that shit ran past 1000 chapters and still manage to keep the story coherent and (to an extent) fresh.
