    @monkeyman404 The characters' abilities, appearance, and partially the way they act, was all plagiarised. Just because you made red riding hood have an orange hood and changed the name to orange riding hood, doesnt clear the fact that its still red riding hood.

    It's not about whether it is the exact same or not. It's about whether it pays respect the the source material, and if it asks for permission.

    Most media that uses characters from somewhere else, either pays respect to the source material and asks for permission if needed, or takes it from the public domain.

    The issue with that manga was not that it twisted the characters, but the lack of respect and lack of permission granted. THE BOYS paid respect to superman, and showed a different, more mature story.

    The manga that we are talking about, literally shoved them in as worthless side characters whose sole purpose is to get butchered.
