    If i recall correctly, aokiji helped. Similar to how aokiji created a path for robin to escape. Aokiji (off screen/off panel) likely helped create a path for saul to use and escape ohara.

    anime hype wave. you either have it roll into the manga stop and lose hype or you have the wave carry you through to the other ending that satisfices the watcher. some anime do this like Re:Zero, recent AOT, or MHA and just have a season per year that gets hyped for the season not the wave and then end, lay low for more manga, then more anime.
