I think the chapter where they take the whole plot point of "Konoha hates Boruto and he is a fugitive" and undo it with "Trust me bro" before IMMEDIATELY backpedaling with "You should probably stay a fugitive" says everything it needs to about Boruto's writing. Because why would we have stakes in our story when we can just continue spoon feeding the protagonist everything so we can force the plot along to release more chapters of nonstop yapping and poorly drawn fights?
