    The characters are too good as beasts. Giving them human forms would distract too much I think. The only one I think it would work with is Sui, but that would also be the worst one to do it to since (s)he has the spin-off and is so damn cute already.

    So... my best guess of what happened between Aedi and Merenia... after that they fell in love, but as she has some sort of magical contract etched in her soul when the time came or something else, it activated, made her go berserk and she killed a lot of people most their comrades probably.

    Aedi fought her and killed her... or... he could do it and joined her or got killed.

    Zephyr blaming him shows that there is a least something more to it... or he is just salty that Aedi was his superior in his last life and never liked him, my bets are on the last part XD.

    And have no doubt, Zephyr... you will be wearing that apron frequently now.
