The ending fits well with the concept. I am getting bored of a "happy ending", which ends with the scene where MC and heroine getting married, with their friends on the background lol. And don't forget the mainstream match-making for the other friends/side characters, they will get on with each others. What a shallow and stupid story. Not all friendship/interaction needs to end in a romantic relationship. Platonic relationship does EXIST.
This author pulled a bold move for the ending and I like it.

I know why some people get upset over this, because the build up stories seems meaningless in the end, but if you think about it deeper this ending could happen in real life. I think the happy ending is more like a delusional ending that authors give to please their readers.
