Mfs here be complaining about the scanlations. Try reading the actual light novel MTL and you'll be begging for the scanlators to do the light novel too.
Rodrick not knowing Kushan customs and just being there along the ride justifies his surprise since they don't know what's going on and was just exiled out of fairy paradise with no contact with the outside world for however much time had passed. They're only aware that Griffith is gaining influence and is a demon god who just went and kidnapped their friend.
Puck might be quiet because the weakening influence of the Astral world that fairies and the magic community were dependent on. But since Griffith destroyed the island and the spirit tree, we might see the mages unable to do anything so Daiba is there to guide them if any magic can be reobtained. So a elf being despondent like he can't see or speak to the surrounding humans sounds like a reversal of how normal humans with no magic can't see elves.
All his other points still stand but I'm not disappointed enough to cry about it.
