This series is good. I admit it. It is secretly more deep and action-packed than the majority of bargain bin Isekai.
It's a clever hat trick. You thought this was just a run-of-the-mill fantasy manga, but it's actually good.

The "hulk form" is manga-only. It really doesn't fit his motif either. He doesn't want to stand out while not in his "eminence in shadow" outfit. And pretty sure giant bulky teenage hulk doesn't blend in well.

And I know the manga ret-conned it a bit by having him look normal until he starts fighting, but even that is very dumb. They basically had him pull a Machio.

I just started rereading this series because I took a break from it like 2 years ago and I just realized how terrible her living conditions were. She got paid an hourly wage of 80 yen. 100 yen is more or less equivalent to $1. She was making les than a dollar an hour and somehow managed to survive. No wonder she was eating bean sprouts.
