It's either you're a crazy feminist or have some underlying issues with men.
The MCs (both) are into each other but both don't know that nor has openly expressed it to each other; hence they weren't dating/going out. Doesn't mean they can't also be into other people. The only person that can be given blame would be the second girl because she knew the FMC was into the MC and still went after him, seduced him away from the FMC and gave him her first time. If the MC tossed her aside and went to date the FMC, that would make him even more of a "piece of shit".
The other point is they warned the FMC to hurry up and make him aware of her feelings, which she didn't do and the second girl came in to take him.
If you want to blame everyone for this mess sure, but the harsh blame on the MC compared to the rest is a bit delusional or linked to some kind of bias.
