Suggested Alternate Title: That time I subverted all the Evil Villainess Otome quests, and ended up being a Tsundere Useless Lesbian.
This manhua offers little to no plot and almost no character development outside of the two FLs. However while the art isn't the best I've looked at, the artist does a good job conveying the wholesomeness and cuteness of the protagonists. The developing bond between the two is the reason why although the readers perspective is narrow I never feel the need for more world building or other supporting characters. It's similar to how some single player games have almost no side quests but that is not an issue since the main story is well enough put together to not necessit the distraction.
All in all I was very pleasantly surprised by this work, especially considering that it's a manhua of all things.
It's so cute and so light and gentle and wonderful and fun and so gooood! So warm!
We've had a lot of otome stories over the past 10 years and I'll admit I've not consumed more than probably 5 (all good/decent) but this still feels fresh in how it's done and the general atmosphere make me want more and more and more.
Maybe I should read the webnovel now, there's 7 books or so out atm and the manhua is only up to book 2 I think. sigh, so nice...
UPDATE: 80 chapters in, still amazing. I'm tempted to switch over to reading the webnovel cos it's so damn good.
I'll make it short since you should honestly just go read it if you have any interest in wholesome yuri.
Story:
Pretty much non-existent, the plot does not move at all but that actually plays in its favor. We do not need a story to display genuine character progression so whether the manhwa has one or not is honestly negligible.
Art:
The art holds up with your other beautifully drawn villainess manhwas, although this is actually a manhua. Honestly though, it doesn't matter what country the series is from, just enjoy good art when you see it.
Characters:
Now is the part that many readers are reading this series for. This is the dynamic between a tsundere golden-haired villainess and the chestnut-haired protagonist of the story who might also be a masochist. The main advantage of this series is the diabetes-inducing interactions between our two female leads. This is essentially something cute that you can binge in a few hours, but there's also so much going for it.
Overall:
Just read it, no serious drama happens yet and you can just relax while giggling throughout the whole thing. You can find a good scanlation by just searching it in mangadex
So sweet it's gonna put my dentist's kids through college, unless my gay heart gives out first
