If they are innocent oh well you’ve killed some people but if not you’ve saved yourself from trouble or even death.
It may sound cruel but it’s the most sure way to ensure absolute safety.
I’d say it’s pretty reasonable in a wold like this which has essentially gone back to ‘kill or be killed”
But hey W loyalty from the girl here for keeping her mouth shut, but most often than not the situation definitely gets worse since most ordinary people would definitely have talked.

Everyone in this world are constantly just mope, mope, mope, mope, mope... until Touya comes along and is the super-ultra-mega-badass who is way too humble to deserve his position, woos all the ladies(against his will of course, because he's a good Christian cowar- I mean, chi- I mean, man...) and I'm getting so fucking tired of reading this typo-ridden hell...
This manga in a nutshell, is Touya listening to a bunch of mopey exposition with a pikachu-surprised face, until he says something oh, so heroic and beats the opposition, of course "in his own way". But he has to fail just a little bit every time, because we can't ever forget that "people die, ooh, how sad" and Touya "actually isn't a hero", which clearly makes him the REAL hero and depression, or some shit.
