    it's confusing because it's not a real ending but only the ending of EG "red". The plot was undoubtedly meant to continue in a another EG series be it "blue" or even another colour after that in which the main cast of "red" would surely have reappeared as side characters. Sadly, we didn't get to see that because the managaka got sick and put the entire series into an indefinite hiatus. Shame.
