As bad as the anime was, it could get way worse, with things that are going on now, most animes nowadays cut too many corners or butcher the manga altogether, personally, I would not mind this over today's anime, in fact this pandemic screwed everyone over, from anime industries to tech to even agriculture, it's insane.

Finally the story moving in

This was really well-written and didn't fall into tropes like usual.  Normally I get frustrated the closer to the end I get, but every time I started to get a little bored, the consequences hit in or the characters freshened up because they kept acting like real people. My only gripe is how abrupt the actual resolution is. I was completely certain until the author's end note that we were at the end of an arc and not the series.
