    (...) and in the last two pages we see young Maka (the main character of Soul Eater along with Soul), her mother, and Spirit (her father), reading a storybook that looks like the story of the creation of the world, speaking once more about "despair", which take a big part on the plot of Soul Eater.
    So, basically that was Ohkubo hitting the hammer and saying: "Yeah, Fire Force and Soul Eater aren't just in the same universe, but are in same world, just in a far far distant timeline".
