A more extreme spin on the classic yaoi tale where the ML is a scumbag, only in this story he really really is.

Forget the ML that is bad to everyone but good to the MC. This one only cares for his career as an MMA fighter, but because he can only perform well after having good sex he is always on the prowl for people who might fit the bill, something the MC reluctantly does. So he pays like millions of dollars to "hire" the MC for this task, and because the MC accepts he considers that everything the does is fair play. In no moment he falls in love, and he is not kind about it. What makes this story heavy is that in truth the MC only agreed because is in dire financial debt, and his life is one bad luck after another. There is dubcon of the extreme kind based on this misunderstanding -- many will consider it rape.

So, beware before reading. That said, it's a well structured story, with great illustrations, and an interesting setting of MMA that is well explored for the genre. The characters and the plot are great (but not moral!). The MC in particular is so dowthrotten that as @CCheshire said the story can get hilarious sometimes.

Don't read this in the hopes of seeing redemption or you are just going to get angry. More importantly, don't put yourself in the shoes of the MC, he is only a plot device for the bastard that is the ML to shine: the story is really about the ML, not the MC.

I read up to CH41 before I called it a day because it's such a bizarre trainwreck from the intro and I'm still wondering what is going on with the KD's life that's just constant suffering and bad luck but then meeting the JJK just ruined but also somehow saved his life? Also, I feel like they took the worst parts of BJ Alex and amped it with the new super-abusive JJK and even more downtrodden KD.

I feel like the amount of BL cliches and tropes could sink the Titanic but yet it's like every new scene it goes harder in a strange direction. I feel like a good number of readers are just wondering how it will end up for them out of morbid curiosity. Also, the entire series is often violent and disturbing as we see the JJK completely threaten the KD and like his actual teammates for no reason but somehow the entire tragedy parts wrapped around completely into an oddly really funny? Just moments that I think surely he will get better but he just does the worst and terrible thing possible to the KD and just thinking about all the dumb convo they had already is making me laugh.

FWIW: Props to having the great imagination to set R18 scenes in a variety of public spaces and anatomy too lol. I feel like if their future series were a romcom it would be p great too for a lot of good reasons. Also, I'm like waiting for the 2nd couple to show up again because they just seem like great personalities.

Edit: Dropped at the end of the finale I feel like it's getting way too much negativity and the story dragged way too much to keep reading.

Finally, I'd like to think the MC escaped and is living happily in Hawaii now.

Dan, a sexual assault victim, gets brutalized again and again because he needs money. Adding to the trauma is that Dan believes that his body's automatic male response to stimulation means that he's some pervert who enjoys being raped.

And he's starting to get the 'badum badum' heartbeats toward his abuser.

I find him pitiful. I wish he would escape from the hell he's in.

So far I don't like Joo Jaekyung....having a hard time liking him because he treats Kim Dan so badly. At least with BJ Alex he was such an asshole to the MC but got super cute

Yes, I know, I read it for the smut but this is so toxic and abusive that I sometimes have to worry about my morals, this is extremely rapey (?)
I am so afraid of this becomming a twisted love story where the abuse victim falls for the predator. And I am so annoyed by Kim Dan to always think he is called in for a treatment (even though he only treated Jaekyung once! Once! for real) like...really sounare that delusional or dumb?

The art is really great and beautiful, just sometimes Jaekyungs head is drawn concerningly small, so that it looks strange. Also he has 0 redeeming character qualitys except hor having enough money.

The art is gorgeous, really, the artist has improved a lot since BJ Alex, even though that has ended not that so long ago. The story is also good so far, I don't even have a problem with it, that the story scheme is very typical (at least until now), and can be used a lot these days.
However I'm worried about how it will go on. The seme looks like someone, who is uncapable of having tender feelings, and I just don't see the logical transition between the current situation and they are being a loving couple. Also afraid, that there won't be any atonement part, as it is mentioned in a lot of comment, but the uke hopelessly falls in love with the seme, still decides to leave him, at that point the seme figures out, he also fell in love, and wants to be with the uke, he confesses, but no apology or atonement, and the uke just accepts it like that, that would be awful.
Even if it's cliché, I want the bastard seme to suffer at least a little bit, before he can be together with the uke. Otherwise I wish they rather not end up being together at all. Saying that contrary I love happy endings.
