Literally everybody in this story is just fickle to no end. Also really like how the bi guy "love interest" is literally just treated as a wise sage of love, who came to give advice and just begrudgingly fucking left, just leaving everyone reading absolutely miserable. His feelings weren't important, he's a sage! He bottled it all up and gave up. And so should everyone else, I guess.
The MC is definitely not straight by the end and I hate how his interactions with the "love interest" are framed in a way, that makes the BI SAGE OF LOVE seem like he's just seducing him with his debaucherous gay magic, then leaves, his appearance is treated as a mere "life lesson" and that's the whole point of the manga.
Thank you for making me feel absolutely fucking miserable for a guy who had his heart definitely thoroughly broken after FINALLY finding someone he liked. Fuck you.
It seems like Reina was getting attention from another guy while the MC was busy with club activities. The other guy likely gave her more gifts and excitement, but she had no plans to break up with the MC. When the MC finally had time for dates again, she found them boring compared to what the other guy offered, so she started blowing him off for more attention. The MC, still pining for her, planned something big for their anniversary, but found her holding hands with another guy in what seemed like a romantic setting. Heartbroken, the MC stopped reaching out, and Reina noticed, visiting him to get more attention. However, the MC broke up with her. She felt sad, but guilt over how she treated him kept her from fighting to save the relationship, leading to her giving up the room key. My guess is the other guy didn't work out, and now she's trying to get back with the MC, seeing he’s still single and not over her.
