The FL has multiple psychological problems due to suffering years of abuse, so the series is painful to read sometimes as she acts bright while suffering and is unable to trust anyone around her, not helped by the fact most people are actually hostile to her.
I'm not sure it is a realistic depiction of psychological problems, but it is sometimes hard to watch. Later there is a good amount of fluff though and the art is top notch.

This is a psychological drama with some romance about a main character with two lives of severe trauma and abuse resulting in the appropriate illnesses (ptsd and anxiety disorder, trauma responses and even an ED as an unhealthy coping mechanism)
As such you should know that going in if you need trigger warnings
It's a really sincere depiction of it, too. And our mc isn't the only one with mental health issues as a result of traumas.
Another thing that's done well is the characters that wish to support the mc have no idea how to do it: they don't live in modern times with a modern understanding of how these people should be approached and treated. They're stumbling through with good intentions.
Another interesting thing this series does is the way the peggy sue part is addressed. Our mc read the novel of the world this takes place in but 1. She doesn't remember the details clearly and 2. (big one) the novel, from what I understand, seems to be from limited perspectives, which means her understanding is only at surface level of events. she doesn't truly know people's motivations, and she especially doesn't know when people might have outright lied about what happened. This means she's not filled with external knowledge about people's characters and motivations and back stories.
She has a limited knowledge of some key points and the rest and the causes she has to figure out on her own
The romance in this is done decently well. The limited first person perspective of the mc means our understanding of the love interest (and, indeed other characters) is all coloured through her view (until we're given enough information to judge things for ourselves and partially put aside her mental illness-induced view of things. This coincides with more pov from other characters, though it's not much.)
Judging from other people's comments. it seems some detail was lost in the conversion from novel->webtoon, like the extent of our mc's illness and reactions to certain events is more intense (or perhaps just better communicated due to availability of more words) in the novel. But it's still very very well done overall.
In the end, this is a great psychological drama that requires many trigger warnings and is quite dark and executed really well.
I'm tossing up between an 8.5 and a 9. I'll be able to make a clearer judgement when it's complete, (which could take 3 more years)
Fun drinking game: every time the heroine trips and falls into the ML’s arms, take a shot of tequila.
Oh shit now you’re dead of alcohol poisoning.
with the artstyle and initial chapters i expected this story to be frivolous but it’s actually a really sensitive and nuanced depiction of trauma. love love love what i’ve read so far. highly recommend.
This reminds me of under the oak tree. The FL is very traumatised and this entire series should just come with a huge trigger warning for multiple triggers. It’s tear-jerking to watch her struggle and misinterpret things. The ML’s development comes quite late so pacing wise the story is slow-ish, but I cannot wait to see the ML & FL develop on both personal and relationship fronts. They both have a lot of work to do. The upcoming story might be kinda predictable though but we never know
The FL is the way she is because of her family. Therefore, even if her actions seem frustrating, they're pretty logical.
On the other hand, the ML is very considerate.
This manhwa is definitely worth a shot!
Dropped ch. 28. The FL putting on a character is fine, but it has to go somewhere or serve a purpose. Instead the FL is just passive and frustrating to read. The ML is beyond bland given he's starting to like the FL for no reason, and only the fake character she puts on.
It probably gets better but it's too slow and uninteresting for me to get there.
this is a good story , yes it does have it rough turns . In my opinion the misunderstanding between the fl & ml was actally very intresting and added realism to the story . Both of them had been through and lot and are very diffrent from each other .
Backstories: the backstories mainly for the FL was amazing well , not amazing . it makes everything to the way she acts makes sense , such as ptsd attacks to be honest this was sad to watch at the same time.
With the ML IT MADE THINGS MAKE A LOT more sense overall , making more sense why he wasn't fond of the idea of marriage or love
Characters: Some of the characters are annoying asf, overall izek was my favorite maybe bc he somewhat reminds me of myself <3 THE FL was tbh amazingly written the way she acts like a actal human being , showing signs of a person with actal trauma .
Romance: devolpment , was shown and I loved that .
This story isn't for everyone a person who doesn't like abuse etc. or so on as it says in the tags
