    Grooming through negative stimuli, is morally wrong according to the common population. However, this is the most common method of grooming, and exists outside of conventionally taboo and morally wrong acts of grooming.

    According to wikipedia, the main definition of grooming in this context, is "the practice of preparing or training someone for a particular purpose or activity."

    Therefore, schooling and training is also considered a form of grooming, albeit not taboo. Where teaching through positive reinforcement is the right way to do it, it is more commonly done through negative reinforcement. This is usually done through punishments that are often either verbal or physical, to make the person avoid failing in fear of punishment.
