It was heavily implied(outright said) that for true awakened that demon was weak sauce, and, Elda and Vera are in a position that will attract many things. Elda may not be recognized as royalty anymore but she still is one of the daughters of the most(or one of) powerful dynasties in this setting, and Vera clearly isn't a normal kid too, he clearly has a past.
