    As of now, it appears that the MC did not report his monster friend due to one of these two reasons (or both of them):

    1. His friend helped him cover up his crime. Therefore he feels like he shouldn't report his friend to the authorities since his friend didn't do the same to him.

    2. If the MC did report his friend to the authorities, his crime might have been come to light due to their investigation as to what led his friend to turn into a monster.
