I'm not into horror manga, but I know when I'm reading a good one.
The start is a bit weak, and the concept of a loli being a powerful "yokai hunter" without a proper (and I said proper because the starting explanation It wasn't convincing enough) explanation made me hesitate to continue reading this manga, but thanks to the yandere, and the sickening relationship she wants to have with the MC, it's enough reason to make me continue. The author goes beyond making a "scary story", something unusual in a horror manga, the fights and gore are the key point, but the stories of the "cursed spirits" are more of the same that I have seen before so meh, the art and the designs are top notch thought.
If you read Zombieya Reiko before, check this one, the fights are really amazing, and there's not a solid story, so they're literally the same thing.
At first I saw some pages and didn't like the art, seems creepy but not scary for me. But after actually reading a few chapters, it turned out the story and battle techniques are great and unique. To summarize, it's like PokeGhost Battle to dead and beyond.
So far, the twists are good, there is no black and white on the good vs evil, every character is just a differnt shad of grey. The charachter ynamics are interesting. And lastly while it does seem goofy at somepoints, at the end of every chapter i have read so far, it somehow masterfully transitions the horro and feeling of dredge into the reader.
Is this manga worth reading, yes, there are about 45 chapters and each one is like above 20 pages, like 30-50, so i say its worth it
As a huge fan of horror manga, I can say that this is, without a doubt, one of the best horror manga there is.
The theme of "ghost vs ghost" was incorporated terrifically without diminishing the horror element.
The thrilling atmosphere were also magnificently crafted. Also, the author definitely knows how to draw a scary scene.
This is the key of what make it so damn good.
