Definitely a masterpiece: compelling story set in the gorgeous settings of Northern Japan (and beyond), with well-written and (some) very likeable characters. It's a must-read, I can't wait for Satoru Noda's next work.
Wow okay, buckle up cuz this thing moves real fast. I'm not hooked by anything in the first 12 chapters but it's not bad at all, just moved real quickly and doesn't spend a whole lot of time on plot points, or locations, or characters really, so it's hard to become attached to or care about anything, we'll see as it continues
The paneling makes up for the translation. Seriously, as the series goes, the art gets better in subtle ways and is used effectively to tell the story. The translation sometimes makes absolutely no sense, but you understand what's going on because the art is a part of the narrative.
