The king and queen are actually pretty nice folks, but they died. They didn't have a family so no court game and rin is just a spoiled brat. In fact she orders len to kill his adoptive father, which he does
Miku is also not a puppet, instead she's a minor god who has been assigned to serve as lukas' apprentice by her major god (yeah it's not much better)
Rin is also actually jaleous of miku and also orders len to kill her. Len is actually in love with miku and weither he would have obeyed is unknown (afaik) but miku got killed by neru
Who's neru ? I didn't tell you but she's kaito's and rin/len half sister. From the golem king and the queen of blue. It hasn't been justified afaik
they are not sure whether the child is a male or female so they basically just called her "ano ko" (that child) and translator decided to just use the shorter "they" instead of "that child"
japan have gender neutral pronoun to call someone of indeterminate gender, in case you forget or don't know
After getting a cliffhanger from the anime and, finally decided to read the manga from the very beginning 'til the end was pretty satisfying. It was a bit heart wrenching tho because of the tragic ending. The end panel though sort of went back to its original cycle as well which was odd. It would've been better to have a slightly different ending and all. Anyway, I understand some may see it as mid but it's still a good read!
