    The latest novel ends at the end of this arc so I can't really tell you how much this arc has impacted the overall story. If you consider the arc in the outlaw city with the vampire queen a filler arc then I guess you can call this a filler too.

    So I launched the nuclear codes, and it turns out they were a bust, not a nut.

    Anyways, nuclear power plants have a crap tonna safety measures, and there would be no reason to cause a reactor meltdown, unless your goal is destruction.
