I found this manga to be incredibly captivating and felt it deserved an anime adaptation. Although the trope of villains disguising themselves as boys has become somewhat cliché, this story still stood out as a worthwhile read. The title initially seemed a bit strange, but discovering the manga was rewarding. The artwork is spectacular, with characters that are truly endearing, and the romance, drama, and everyday life depicted in the manga are superb. There are some scenes showing a bit of nudity, but it's absolutely worth revisiting multiple times.

This is one of the first manga that truly captivated me!
I adored the concept of a girl disguised as a boy!
How innocent the main character is, yet she is strong-willed with an incredible personality.
I had some great laughs throughout the manga; the fighting scenes were fantastic, and the family and friends were utilized brilliantly.
And I wouldn't want to give anything else away! So read it.

This manga is absolutely fantastic! There's nothing about it that I don't love. It brilliantly combines humor with thrilling action sequences, sweet romantic moments, and poignant scenes filled with emotion. Even though I'm not usually a fan of drama, the perfect mix here kept me hooked throughout the entire series. I've read this manga at least ten times (seriously) and it never gets old for me.

Tsukasa and Ryuji form an incredible duo both as lovers and fighters. They're the ideal pairing; you couldn't ask for anything better. Their chemistry adds another layer to the story that makes it even more enjoyable. This manga truly has it all!

One of my all-time favorite and somewhat underappreciated manga. Initially, the story might seem cliché and repetitive, much like many others out there. However, given that it's a mid-90s manga, I believe it deserves some leniency.

    [7/10] ART
The artwork isn't as refined or polished compared to modern standards and can take some time to get used to. But, I must point out that the illustrations improve significantly as the story progresses!

    [9/10] STORY
While the storyline isn't groundbreaking or exceptionally unique, it doesn't detract from the characters' charm. I truly appreciate a manga that makes me emotionally invested in its characters, rooting for them and feeling their disappointments. Additionally, the story has a satisfying resolution, giving me the sense of a true fairy tale shoujo.

    [10000000/10] OVERALL LOVELOVELOVE
Overall, if you're interested in reading it, give it a few chapters to hook you. Yes, the art might make you wince initially, but trust me, it gets better and is worth your time. Writing this review almost makes me want to read it again.

I would absolutely love it if they could adapt this into an anime—it would be so kickass.

    Cheers.

Just imagine the three main characters are 17 or 18 years old, and you've got a fantastic Yakuza/Action/Romance story with excellent pacing. It's far from perfect, and its age definitely shows in the artwork, characters, and themes (it would likely be canceled if released today). There’s some nudity, which is whatever, but it raises concerns when you recall that she's only 14... So I just pretend she's 18 and move on.

The setting is intriguing—a quasi-futuristic Japan. But it's never too outlandish and always enhances the plot rather than detracts from it. The chapters are nice and long, leaving you satisfied with the story and all the characters. The ending feels a bit rushed, which is what keeps it from being a perfect 10. Still, it's a good read and worth recommending.

HOW I WAS INTRODUCED TO TOKYO CRAZY PARADISE:
"Tokyo Crazy Paradise" was one of my unexpected discoveries. Rarely do I pick up manga at random, but in the case of TCP, I'm glad I did.

    STORY (8/10):
When you simplify TCP's plot into a mere summary, it might sound mundane and cliché—a girl falls for a bad boy who leads a mafia organization. However, this doesn't do justice to TCP. The story beautifully blends romance, drama, and action, creating an incredibly unique narrative all its own.

    ART (7/10):
The art in TCP isn't poor, but it does have a distinctive style. It seems to reflect the genre fusion—a bit of shounen action mixed with shoujo flair. There are sections where the drawings appear somewhat awkward, but overall, the artwork is quite good.

    CHARACTERS (7/10):
The characters in TCP are almost amazing. The protagonist, Tsukasa, stands out as one of the strongest female characters in shoujo manga. Even considering the gender-bending aspect, her femininity remains evident. As for Ryuugi, while he may not be as endearingly characterized as Tsukasa, he is still a great character. As the volumes progress, it becomes easier to appreciate him more.

    ENJOYMENT (8/10):
TCP is unique, humorous, and engaging. It offers romance, drama, a love triangle, and gender-bending elements. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an interesting read.

Like many here, I began reading KurePara after finishing Skip Beat! for the second time, seeking more from Nakamura-sensei. (I really need to stop rereading stuff.)

    Story - 10
The story blends shounen elements into a shoujo setting, which is absolutely fantastic as it strikes the perfect balance between romance and action. I'm growing tired of overly sweet shoujo manga like Kyo, Koi wo Hajimemashite.
From the start, the pacing was just right, keeping me on the edge of my seat. It's evident that Nakamura-sensei did extensive research to accurately depict the yakuza.

    Art - 6
This aspect bothered me the most about the manga: THE HAIR. Main character Tsukasa's hair was so distracting at first that I'd spend a lot of time trying to figure it out. Male lead Ryuji's hair wasn't much better either.
Thankfully, the art improved significantly over time, with everyone's hair eventually looking normal. Her improvement in drawing hair is noticeable in later works like Skip Beat!.

    Character - 10
Every character has an intriguing personality and a well-developed background that makes sense as the story progresses.
It's clear that everything was meticulously planned from the beginning, something only truly exceptional mangakas can achieve.
A standout feature is the unconventional setup, avoiding the typical cute tsundere female and mysterious male leads.
Instead, we have a gender-bending main character who is also an awesome fighter!!!!!
You can't help but love Tsukasa.

    Enjoyment - 10
I think I've covered everything above.

In conclusion, this manga is REALLY worth it.
If you're looking for a mix of action and romance without neglecting either, this is definitely for you.

This is one of the finest stories I have ever come across. The plot stands out uniquely from other shoujo manga. It's rare to find such a compelling narrative. However, if you're looking for a sweet, conflict-free story, this might not be your cup of tea. Personally, I adore these kinds of tales; they're the cream of the crop for me. There's action. There's romance. Absolutely fantastic!

The characters are excellently crafted. You can easily relate to them and their situations. They feel genuine and authentic. I particularly enjoyed Tsukasa’s character development - sometimes she's a bit silly, but then she transforms into a fierce warrior goddess! And Ryuji adds a lot of humor to the mix.

The artwork is decent. It may not be extraordinary, but it's certainly good enough.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. A solid 1000/10 in my book.

Anyway, do yourself a favor and READ THIS. It's truly amazing. Don't let any negative reviews deter you because this manga is genuinely great. Dive right in without hesitation.
