    Well my guess is she is happy that he looks like her husband but he isn't. She probably also hid that "wedding band" after losing her husband to not remind her of the pain from losing him. Then one day her daughter finds the "wedding band" and brings it to her unknowingly ... leading to the memories of her husband flooding back as well as the reality that he is dead; rekindling the grieving process all over again. I mean, she still lives by herself with her daughter, and being a single mother can be a constant reminder that you are alone, which hits even harder if your partner died due to unnatural causes.
