Oof... What can one say about Rizelmine?
It somehow feels like a rather stereotypical story from the early 2000s. A cute little girl is head-over-heels in love with a guy who just isn't interested and finds her intense attachment more annoying than endearing. The idea was for comedy to follow, but Rizelmine ends up feeling a bit off.
The art style is your typical moe-blob manga. Yukiru Sugisaki's illustrations are great, but during the more chaotic scenes, it becomes difficult to discern what's happening.
Since the main focus is on comedy, the characters come across as rather flat and exaggerated.
The forced marriage between two minors leaves an odd impression, and Rizel herself comes off as more irritating than charming.
Thank goodness there is only one volume.
How often does this update? I read this whole thing in two days. Also Mad Snail needs to get his shit together with his other stories. Tales of Demons and Gods better not be cancelled
