Idk what to tell you. Him bitching about killing people now is just bad writing. He didn't think about it when he was doing it for the job but when he's doing it to protect someone is when he starts crying about it. Took one phrase from one random to make his priorities go backwards.

The Villainess Lives Again is another political drama Returnee series. It's even better, honestly (I gave it 10/10 whereas this one I give 9.5/10). But it's also a lot more dark. This one has many cute moments to make you smile, the other does not.
