Will the daughter, learning that she is a homunculus, consider that her father may have taken her from her real "parents" and resent him for it? If the father ends up involved with an elf, will the elf's apparent hate for homunculi force the father to choose his daughter over his potential "conjugal bliss", causing the daughter's guilt to distance them in some way.
They're too well set up to be inseparable that it only makes sense for the plot to separate them in some emotional way. While it will be painful, them coming back together can become something really powerful.

I was 16 when my first GF back then got pregnant
When she came through to me, she told me about that she tested positive and if we should keep or abort it.
And I did the biggest mistake in my life, I told her I support whatever decision she would do.
It was a bit back and forth, but we didn't think to much through the options
Anyway, she chose abortion, and after that, her personality permanently changed. Like something clicked after that incident, it was like a grudge that was building up, 6 years after that, we broke up, or to be exact, she went into the drug route and became a hippie which then just put her in a downward spiral after that untill she just one day just told me that we were never ment to be togheter and just left
But alas, it was all to late. I don't think she would have changed the way she did if I just outright told her to keep it, showing that I'm willing to take full responsibility and motivated to be by her side raising the kid.
