Not only is it ridiculous, but there are SEVERAL ALTERNATIVE PATHS this BS could have taken to get the same result (eg. studying abroad or even moving to another district).
I repeat, there is no way a straight or gay man wrote that plot twist and then tried to justify it, like the MC was some kind of saint. I hope they show him suffering immensely from his perspective or Meguro finding out that another girl is making moves on him, which makes her feel just as bad as he did when he found out about her history, when they first dated, otherwise there's no saving this hot mess.
