    I don't think it's weird that MC didn't really suffered any consequences. I mean he was a middle schooler who did some perverted and somewaht dangerous shit and his family was forced to move because of that. Also he damaged his relationship with everyone he knew including his family for years. That's enough consequences I think. There are middle schoolers who commit more serious crimes and suffer less consequences than this so I don't think it's unrealistic.
