The narrative is excellent and groundbreaking, especially when the Gundam franchise first emerged, ushering us into a futuristic era fraught with conflicts. The mecha designs are meticulously crafted, and the battle sequences are brutally clear and intensely engaging. However, the character design leaves something to be desired.

The characters appear to receive less focus compared to the mechas and action scenes. Thus, enthusiasts of vehicles, colossal robots, and the visceral impact of violent, powerful battles will find more enjoyment here than those anticipating stellar character design. For me, this is a seminal piece within the Gundam franchise and the realm of mecha animes and mangas. Numerous works have undoubtedly drawn inspiration from the concepts and styles introduced by Gundam, and the franchise itself has grown and evolved over time, delivering outstanding titles with many more yet to come. This manga commands my respect; it tackled ideas that were scarcely explored back then.

It's insane how the manga's page borders actually were consistent with what they typically stand for metatextually, author held her cards as long as she could and that's really so unique and cool. What a fantastic romcom this is. I'll miss it, it will always be in my heart, I hope it will be in yours as well. Cheers y'all.

Arte's character was probably inspired by Artemisia Gentileschi, but it's clearly a different person. Arte has no siblings, her mom is alive instead of her dad, and the timeline is kinda messed up as far as her education and the start of her career. Most importantly a rape would simply not fit in with the vibes of this manga, so I doubt they'll take that turn.

This series is incredible. The art is weird at first but it gets incredible later on. Some panels are jaw dropping.
